If you're a physical therapist or student, you are likely aware that October is Physical Therapy Month. But this year it's going to run a little longer. With a tip of the hat to active boomers, the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) is hosting a "50 Days 50 Ways" event by providing 50 tips on consecutive days. The health tips will run from October 1st through November 19th and will include strategies in injury prevention and fitness as well as encourage semi-active boomers to get active again.

Physical Therapists will play a big part in keeping aging boomers active and healthy over the next couple of decades. Musculoskeletal injuries such as tendinitis, bursitis, and arthritis will need to be treated and healed in active seniors.  Bowlers, golfers, and other sport participants will require treatment for the knee, hip, back, shoulder, and neck injuries.
